I just started my training here at Jax Aero very recently and I have nothing but amazing things to say about this amazing flight school! I highly recommend Jaxaero for flight training. They truly care about your training. From their meticulously maintained aircraft to the flight simulator, the multiple classrooms for ground training and personal study, everything around the facility is designed for student success. There was never a single time that I was available to train and wanted to train that there was not availability for it.
My instructor Owen is an extremely hard worker. He never missed a single appointment and was always on time. He came to every lesson well prepared and with enthusiasm and energy. He was willing to work as hard as I was willing to work and we often did two lessons per day for an average of 6 days per week. I felt comfortable training with Owen knowing he had the skills, confidence, and ability to keep us safe while in the aircraft. He was also available anytime outside of our regularly scheduled hours if I had questions on anything.
Additionally, every employee of Jaxaero greatly contributed to my success with the school. Other instructors NEVER hesitated when I came to any of them with questions. They all truly care about your success even if you are not their direct student.
The other students at Jaxaero also contributed to my learning greatly which I would attribute to them following the example set by the instructors that everyone helps out everyone else. Often times us students were explaining things to each other if there was not an instructor handy. It truly is a great group of people to work with and along side.

I had a fantastic introductory flight with flight instructor Jonathan Rutledge. He took the time to answer all of my questions and provided a great tour of the school. The experience was both informative and enjoyable. I highly recommend Jax Aero for anyone looking to start their flying journey!
John Rutledge has been super helpful with all of the admission stuff. He took the time to work with me on my busy schedule so I could make flying something I could excel in. He is also a fantastic CFII, and I am lucky to call him my flight instructor. I love JAXAERO and couldn't recommend it more.
I was lucky enough to experience a flight with JAXAERO this week for the first time, which was nothing short of incredible! With the sky and weather on our side, we had the most gorgeous ride over Jax beach, UNF, and even views of the Jags stadium. The instructors, pilot and staff were professional and kind, making sure to answer any questions and assure comfort and safety. I highly recommend taking the time to fly with JAXAERO. As someone who has lived in Jacksonville for over 7 years, I can say the view from above gave me a whole new perspective and appreciation for our city. Thank you JAXAERO! I can’t wait for my next flight.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Jax Aero and take a facility tour and Discovery Flight. Kim, Jon, and Amanda were extremely welcoming and answered all the questions I had and then some. My flight with Kasen was an experience I will not soon forget and his enthusiasm for aviation made it that much better. An amazing experience all-around and certainly a top contender in my list of flight school possibilities!
Jax Aero went above and beyond my expectations! The staff are very friendly and are willing to help with anything. Amanda helped me get situated quickly and was very willing and open to helping me with any questions I had about renting aircraft . Responses from her were well within an hour, can't get better than that. Also got to fly with Owen in their Cessna 172, he's an awesome instructor and teaches with ease, felt very safe and comfortable the entire time in the cockpit. Also the Avionics in their Cessna's were in excellent condition, PFD and HSI. 10/10 experience with Jax Aero!

I found JaxAero while looking for a good school in Florida where I could get my High Performance Endorsement. I gave them a call and Amanda was incredibly polite and helpful and got me on the books fast. I drove up from Central Florida in the morning, spent the afternoon here and drove back in the evening.
Owen, my instructor, was absolutely fantastic! He greeted me with a smile introduced himself and got me situated. Always nice when you're somewhere new. He's very knowledgeable, personable, and definitely someone who takes being a CFI as serious business rather than a chore to get to the magic number required for most pilot jobs. He did a great job explaining the HP 182T to me, explained the Garmin G1000, which I had very little prior exposure to before, and did an excellent job answering any questions I had.
I was also incredibly impressed by all the aircraft I saw on their ramp, especially the 182T I flew in. All of their aircraft are in fantastic condition by any measure, but especially for a flight school, where you so often see planes treated as "beaters". Not the case here! This 182T is the nicest airplane I've flown to date, mechanically and aesthetically.
In the air he made it easy for me to understand his instruction and follow his lead while absorbing all the new impressions I was being exposed to. Did a discovery flight today at Jaxaero and had a great time. Doc was my instructor and he really knows his stuff. He did an awesome job of balancing and blending the experience to ensure it included safety, sightseeing, education, and the opportunity to operate the controls and get a feel for flying the plane. Looking forward to working towards my ppl at Jaxaero
JaxAero has given me such an all-around great experience during my flight training. I toured all of the local flight schools, but immediately following my tour with Jon Rutledge, I knew I wanted to be a part of this one. The kindness from him and every single person has been overwhelming. My CFI, Frankie, has consistently extended invaluable kindness and encouragement throughout my training, especially when I was struggling most. Can’t recommend them enough!
I have flown at multiple flight schools, from a small “mom and pop shop” to the largest nation-wide school, and JAXAERO is by far the best! JAXAERO offers the benefits of a large flight school, including: a large fleet of well-equipped and well-maintained aircraft, training aids and supplements to guide students along their journey, and a simulator to practice and maintain proficiency. JAXAERO also offers the benefits of a small flight school. The greatest of those assets are the people that work and train there. Everyone truly cares for one another's success and well-being. The positive and friendly "culture" at JAXAERO is unlike any other flight school. No matter where you are in your aviation journey, and regardless of your goals or aspirations, you will be treated kindly and cared for at a personal level. I had an amazing experience at JaxAero. Emerson Blythe did my CFI training and I felt thoroughly prepared for my exam.
Great facility, Airplanes well maintained, very friendly staff,and most importantly they have a set standards for operations and training connected to the safety. JaxAero is an amazing school. Offers a safe, reliable and high tech fleet. Along with professional and knowledgeable instructors. Emerson was my instructor for my instrument rating training. Not only is he knowledgeable but he truly cares about your investment and development. Personally, he is my inspiration to follow as a future CFI.
I've been with JaxAero for a few years now and I've seen this school grow from two 172's in a t-hanger to an entire fleet of aircraft! I knew this school was different from all the rest when I first reached out. Ben responded within a few hours and was super friendly and excited to have me check out the school. I got my private pilots license and my instrument rating through them and I am currently working on my commercial pilots license. My main instructor, Emerson, is extremely knowledgeable about aviation and an amazing teacher! He has always held me to high standards, pushing me to be a great pilot! In addition, Bruce does an amazing job maintaining the fleet and makes sure that the airplanes are in great condition. I also see how much passion Ben and John have put into JaxAero, and its really paid off! If I could describe JaxAero as a whole, I'd say that it's one big family! Everyone there from the students, instructors, and AMT's is professional and passionate about aviation. And that's what I'd say sets JaxAero apart from any other school.
Best flight school in town…Ask for Emerson! He’s the man and got me thru everything fast and more so depended on me getting my schedule to work. Have flown with Jon Rutledge and great guy too with instruction that will help anyone.
When looking for a new location to continue my flight training, Jon Rutledge was more than enough help. He explained everything I wanted to know about the place. Shortly after being there, I was saddened that I hadn’t been training here from the start. Jon paired me with an instructor named Frankie Norton. Frankie is not only an outstanding and helpful instructor, but a great pilot as well. The planes are always in great condition. I would give this place more than 5 stars if it were possible.

JAXAERO is fantastic. I have my ATP and ~7500 hours of flight time. I was incredibly impressed with this operation. The facility is cutting edge, the maintainers knowledgable and approachable, and the staff incredibly welcoming. The planes are well maintained and very clean. Jon Rutledge made this entire process efficient and easy - in my professional opinion it could not have been more "user friendly." Robert Lee is a fantastic CFI who kept things at the appropriate level for effective training. JAXAERO is the place to be for students to learn, and for seasoned pilots to stay current!

Had a great experience with these guys. They helped me get my mission done on short notice and were very helpful and friendly. The airplanes were exceptionally well maintained and my CFI Robert Lee was a great guy and great CFI. I enjoyed his style of teaching.
Jax areo has been a great flight school for me that’s very inclusive and welcoming to everyone. Great flight instructors that teach you the best way to learn. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else and I’m looking forward for the future in this place.
Very nice facility, small but efficient. Nice offices, aircraft are clean. FAA approved simulators with very nice graphics. Jon in the office was very friendly, engaged and helpful. Manager John knew exactly what I needed and booked me with a great fit CFI— CFI Rob Lee is fantastic. Patient, professional, very knowledgeable and loves flying.
I work in a law enforcement related field and needed a flight review ASAP due to unforeseen circumstances. I went over to JaxAero and met with the Director of Operations, John. I explained my situation and John was able to immediately accommodate me. The hangar and office spaces were newly renovated and very clean. I was paired up with a CFI named Owen who was extremely knowledgeable and personable. The ground school went off without an issue. The plane we flew in was very nice, in great condition, and was reasonably priced. I completed the flight review and plan to return for future flight training. 10/10, would recommend.
It's remarkable what JaxAero has done for my future. The formula is tried and true. The atmosphere and community around JaxAero is second to none. The instructors care about the school itself which leads to growth and great results. Students create group texts for studying and push towards success. The aircraft are properly maintained and clean with upgraded features galore. The learning areas are clean and quiet. It's a privilege to fly with JaxAero because we fly safely, train seriously and have fun.
Just finished up my private at JaxAero. I looked at a bunch of flight schools in Jax, I ended up deciding JaxAero for all they were able to offer in the way of quality training, facilities and aircraft while being at a reasonable price compared to similar schools. I have the pleasure of having Idris Algabyali as my flight instructor and he’s done an awesome job planning out and keeping track of my training and progress. They were also relatively flexible with my schedule. I work full time so being able to go to a school that offers a full curriculum for air and ground and being able to still work full time was a must. Definitely would recommend them for your flight instruction!
Great school! Planes are well maintained, and their instructors are top-notch. Their new facility is an impressive expansion that should further improve their operations. Idris has been a great instructor and did really well pushing me across the finish line for my PPL. I look forward to continuing to work with Idris as well as the rest of the JaxAero team!

Jax aero is definitely an amazing flight school, instructors are very nice and helpful. The staff works very hard to try and help you meet your goals. I can strongly say that all of the instructors are extremely professional and knowledgeable. My instructor (Idris) is a really smart, professional, and knowledgeable instructor that cares about his students and wants to see them succeed all the way. My secondary ground instructor (Dr. Rob Z) is absolutely amazing and extremely smart as well, both of these gentlemen work very hard and well with each other to try and provide professional instruction to me.
Jax Aero has a well maintained fleet with a selection of excellent instructors who will help you achieve your goals! Earned my PPL 9/5/23 and wrapping up instrument now on the pro pilot program. Ben and John are experienced leaders who understand aviation and pilot training. The CFII’s (Donny, Owen, and more) all have excellent knowledge and skill to keep you safe while growing in your aviation Journey. Can’t leave out our main man Bruce in maintenance keeping the blue side up. The airfield, KCRG, is a great location to train

Took a close friend's dad for a discovery flight at JaxAero today! The sky decided to be extra beautiful and we had an amazing pilot, Rob! Rob was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and made everyone who hadn't gone up before feel so comfortable and excited to learn about aviation. It was incredible to hear about how JaxAero is expanding as a flight school and to see how competent and confident their pilots are. Anyone I come across who has an interest in aviation I will always point them in the direction of JaxAero!

I highly recommend JaxAero for flight training. My husband and I frequently fly our Mooney on short trips and I wanted to know how to land in the event he became incapacitated inflight. So I requested to train in JaxAero’s SIM and they paired me up with an excellent instructor, Owen Werner. Owen has been wonderful and is teaching me the basics of flight along with the skills I need to land in the event of an inflight emergency. I now have the confidence I didn’t have prior to this training and have the knowledge and skill to safely land the aircraft. I am in my 60’s and highly encourage other spouses to consider this type of training. Owen Werner is a highly gifted instructor. His focus is always on his student and ensuring that the student receives proper training. I greatly appreciate Owen’s expertise and his patience with me in the SIM. My husband and I thank Owen and JaxAero for this opportunity!
My fiancé gifted me a flight discovery lesson with Jaxaero. I had a great time on my flight. Got to fly the plan and learned a few things first lesson. I got bit with the private pilot bug and now I’m obsessed. These guys are great and I’m excited to continue training. Had two different instructors so far. Kasey and Caesar and both were excellent teachers and very knowledgeable and fun to fly with.
